My Thoughts:
*I tried to capture pictures of the swatches at different angles to catch the luminescence this gives but nothing quite gives the right impression until you see it in person. I hope these pictures help somewhat! I think they're great to show how thick the cream is and how nicely it blends out. ;)*
Yay! A product I knew nothing about and bought all on my own with no blogger or YT video review influence!! LOL I was at Target a day after we moved down to Los Angeles and I was looking for something that would give me coverage, be lightweight and fast/easy to apply. I figured I would peruse the beauty aisles of Target and see if I could uncover any gems... Guess what? I did! This is an incredible product. Don't let the name fool you, though! Whether that's good or bad for you... this isn't like the original BB creams from Korea where you're face will look white. This is more like a tinted moisturizer on steroids. It has the thickness of a foundation and thus, provides way more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. I use my fingers to apply and because of the thick consistency of this, it doesn't streak and there is no blotchiness. Yay! It helps to take the red away and even your skin tone. I found that it gave my face a nice luminosity to it and I felt really good whenever I wore it. A little goes a long way too!
I wore it for two weeks consistently and my skin looks fantastic. I don't know if it's because of the product or the peel I did at the same time! But I will tell you this has become a "holy grail" product for me. Why? Because it's an easy product to use, wear, look great in, it's good for my skin and it has an SPF in it. It's great for when I want to look polished but don't have a lot of time (or am feeling lazy!) to do my makeup.
I apply my moisturizer first, then sunscreen (because this only has an SPF15, I need way more sunscreen than that!) then I apply this with my fingers. I find that I get the best application with my fingers, plus I don't need to dirty up a makeup brush. Win! Yet, another reason this is such a great product for me! I will then apply some under eye concealer and spot conceal if I need it. I don't usually need to powder, either. However, if you have oily skin you may want to dust some powder through the T-zone.
I'm an NC20 and found the Light/Medium shade to work perfectly for me. If you are quite fair, you could sheer it out with some moisturizer to make it lighter for you. The same is true for Medium/Deep. If it's too dark, just add some moisturizer. If it's too light, add a little of your own foundation. This stuff is so good the only complaint that I have is that I wish it had a higher SPF in it. The standard these days is at least SPF30, minimum!

Yes! I have taken this product with me when I went on a two month long holiday and I loved it! I wore it everyday and it did cover up all the red spots on my face. I love that it was so easy to apply. And your good to go with one layer. The only thing that hurt was that it stings so bad when it gets in your eyes!
ReplyDeleteI also love how it lasts for a long time, despite the small size. I did however find that it made my face oily. Maybe I should have worn a separate moisturizer beforehand.
@star - what's the delay in getting products over there? 3 - 5 months?
ReplyDelete@magz and mez - how the heck did you get this in your eye!? oh no! i hope you rinsed straight away and it didn't cause any damage?
ReplyDeletedo you find that your skin tends to be oily to begin with or combination skin and it got oily where you tend to get oily? some people may find that they need to powder after application or later on during the day. i was good to go! i'd love to hear your answers to my questions! thanks for stopping by. :)
