What They Say:
A two-step revolutionary nail art kit that inspires head-turning results.

What it does:
Created in London, this one-of-a-kind nail art innovation brings avant-garde catwalk nail styling to your fingertips. Featuring pearlescent beads for a 3-D effect, this kit includes everything you need to express yourself with your hands and become an instant nail connoisseur.

This set contains:
- 0.45 oz Paint Pot Nail Polish
- 0.47 oz Caviar Pearls
- Funnel
- Tray

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes
- Petrochemicals
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan

What else you need to know:
This cutting-edge manicure lasts at least 48 hours. To ensure your new manicure last even longer: seal the free edge of your nails with a top coat to ensure durability, make sure you allow the pearls to set for at least 15 minutes, and work on one nail at the time while nails are still wet.

My Thoughts:

Overall, these are a total indulgent manicure and completely unnecessary. They're incredibly fun looking and really cool! I get loads of compliments when I do wear them and I think they're quite different to anything else on the retail market. In a sea of polish strips, these are a breath of fresh air.

They're very high maintenance, though! You have to be careful when doing just about anything. A couple examples: when eating, don't get one in your mouth (like I did when eating pizza and I liked my finger! I almost chipped a tooth biting into one of these!), itching your ear, scratching your face, etc. as these "shed" and do get everywhere. Each morning the bed was filled with them! Having all 10 of my fingers done was not the best idea in hindsight, as I was very aware of them at all times. It also made doing my hair impossible. These literally became like little cacti and my fingers would get stuck in my hair immediately. Forget about running your fingers through your hair to put product through, finger comb, nothing. I wore a pony tail for two days... ha!

I found that the black and white pearls/polish sets were more forgiving after the pearls fell off because they were the same color as the polish underneath. The pearls leave a remnant of color behind in the polish so they give an illusion of still being there, albeit the 3D effect is gone.

Rainbow Multi-Pearls w/Strawberry Milkshake Nail Polish - day 4 w/no pearls

Using these as an accent nail was much more manageable and I got about 5 - 7 days of wear. Doing all 10 nails got me about a day of solid wear before I started to see breakdown but the wear is not consistent. The manicure will break down quicker on your dominant hand than it will on the other. I took the manicure off on the fourth day.

Every kit comes with a funnel and a tray - the tray is to catch all of the pearls and the funnel is to pour the unused ones back into the bottle so there's minimal waste! You'd be surprised how little pearls you actually use.

The packaging is adorable and while I like the bow that is on each bottle, the one on the pearls is attached with band and can be removed, however the one that is attached to the polish is glued on. The ends of the bow are long and get in the way of your polish so it has to  be cut off so you don't ruin your polish. I'm not sure why they didn't make both bows removable. :(

Betty says: Do one or two accent nails or try the french manicure! Committing to all 10 nails will have you wanting to take them off in a day or two.

Have you tried the Ciaté manicure? Which one is your favorite?

Have a beautiful day!
Betty xx

    1. hahaha! exactly! well, i found that doing one or two accent nails on each hand was perfect and they lasted MUCH longer than the 48 hours ciate claims. try that and see how it works for you. if you absolutely can't tolerate it, keep your receipt and return it! ;)
