Mally Beauty Cancellation Concealer System Review

Mally Beauty Cancellation Concealer System

  • Product: 2 out of 5
  • Packaging: 4 out of 5
  • Quality: 2 out of 5
  • Ease of Use: 3 out of 5
  • Overall: 2.5 out of 5
  • Would I buy again? NO
  • Price: $$35 US

Where to Buy:

  • Mally's Website
  • QVC

They describe it as:

"This is a fabulous face duo. The creamy concealer never cakes, providing full coverage for dark circles, small flaws, or blemishes. Follow with the translucent setting powder for a look that lasts. Comes packaged in a convenient, keep-it-together pouch with a double-ended brush."

Advantages:

  • The setting powder is finely milled and perfect for brightening up under the eye
  • Green packaging with refillable cases
  • Packaging is great for travel

Disadvantages:

  • Only comes in four colors: Fair, Light/Medium, Tan, Rich (I used Light/Medium)
  • The packaging for the setting powder is hard to open!
  • Concealer isn't full coverage
  • It dries very quickly so you have to work fast

Overall Opinion:

The concealer wasn't great.  I had high hopes because I liked the consistency - it's very creamy and was easy to blend.  It failed when it came to end results though, because it accentuated the fine lines under my eye and didn't cover the circles or bags completely.  The Eye Light Setting Powder is great and is comparable to Benefit's Powderflage.   Also, if you tend to be dry under your eyes this product will only accentuate that as well, so I would advise you to steer clear.

Betty Says:  I think this product is better suited for younger folks who don't need a full coverage concealer.

I'm not as excited for this launch as the other summer collections that are coming because I don't feel it has a lot of new products to offer.  I'm also a bit disappointed that three of the six eyeshadows coming out are already part of the permanent line, the same goes for the mascara and penultimate eyeliner and with several repromote products, it's all really not that exciting for me.  I guess comparatively speaking (er, writing? ha!), thinking back to last summer's  MAC To The Beach collection and all of the beautiful products that came out, I had higher expectations for this season.

What are your thoughts?
